New House!

We went to see the new house last night... and I am super excited to move in! I can't even believe we are finally buying a house! It's such an awesome feeling. Even when we stepped inside last night... it somehow felt different. It wasn't like walking into our apartment. Now it's our home. Our first home. A place we can call our own. No noisy people stomping above us. No screaming kids in the middle of the night.

So the specs: It's a 3 bedroom/2 bath (rock) house. 2 sliding doors... one off the dining area, and one off the master bedroom. Hardwood floors throughout most of the house. Tile in the kitchen, dining area, and master bedroom. :) Great backyard with a basketball court (area).

It is going to be a work in progress. We are getting the living room walls re-done, the hardwood floors refinished, and the counters in the kitchen re-done before we move in. We're also putting a privacy fence up in the backyard, and painting the rooms. Minor cosmetic stuff, ya know?

We've already been shopping on craigslist for a new stove and fridge. The ones in the house are ok right now... but not what we want. So those will be the first things to go. But overall, we already have plenty of furniture to fill it. Chris' brother is moving in with us, so he will occupy one of the bedrooms, with the other being an office.

Today we are meeting with the contractor who's going to be doing most of the work so we can tell him what we want. But, I seriously cannot wait till we move in! I'm ready! Moving day can't come soon enough!! :)
