My baby's birth-month is coming to an end. :( Puddles was born on October 1, 2004! Yep, he's 5 years old...or 35 in doggie years. He is absolutely the best puppy ever! Ok, ok...I know he's not a puppy, but in my eyes he will always be my baby and therefore a puppy. :)
So Puddles... well my amazing boyfriend got me Puddles as a Christmas present in 2004. He found him online from a breeder in Oklahoma. Puddles is an Okie! Chris kept this a secret for months...working two (sometimes 3) jobs just to get him for me. Ya see, Puddles is a pure-bred Maltese. His parents were actually from champion bloodlines. So in addition to him being pricey as a Maltese...he was also more because of those champion bloodlines. But Chris knew how much I wanted a maltese, and he wanted to make sure I got a pure-bred one. The breeder was excellent! Since you have to wait until the puppy is 12 weeks before taking him from the mother... She sent Chris photos to update him on how he was doing, and made regular phone calls. (Which is how I found out about Puddles...but that's a whole other blog). And in January we made the 8 hour journey to Oklahoma to get our sweet baby!
We love Puddles soooo much! He really is our son. He sleeps with us every night, and we celebrate his birthday (or month) every year! Puddles is rambunctious, fun, and loves us unconditionally. No matter what kind of day we are having...we can always count on him to put a smile on our faces.
So here is to our beautiful baby, Puddles! Happy Birth-Month!!! We love you very much!!
